{"id":182,"date":"2011-01-07T14:15:00","date_gmt":"2011-01-07T14:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/turtlellc.com\/index.php\/the-abap-server-specified-in-the-server-configurtion-file-is-not-reachable\/"},"modified":"2011-01-07T14:15:00","modified_gmt":"2011-01-07T14:15:00","slug":"the-abap-server-specified-in-the-server-configurtion-file-is-not-reachable","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.turtle.works\/knowledge\/the-abap-server-specified-in-the-server-configurtion-file-is-not-reachable\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;The ABAP server specified in the server configurtion file is not reachable"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-family: arial;\">Problem<\/p>\n<p><\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">When trying to log into the launch page on BPC NW 7.5 I receive either a timeout error or this:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-family: arial;\">\n<li>The ABAP server specified in the server configurtion file is not reachable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">Investigating further I find I cannot login to SAP Login<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">When trying to login to SAP Logon 710 I get:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">partner  &#8216;192.168.1.40:sapdp00&#8217; not reached.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">WSAECONNREFUSED: Connection  refused<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-family: arial;\">SAP Support suggested:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">Connection refused errors are normally triggered in two situations:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">&#8211;  There is a firewall in the way of the connection rejecting  the<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">communication<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">&#8211; The service is not running on the server<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">It  seems that the problem here is that you are not being able to reach<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">the  server.
